Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Handyman to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks across our properties. This position requires landscaping and janitorial work in our buildings in addition to the maintenance work.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, roofing and other general maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to repair requests to minimize downtime
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in excellent condition for efficient use
- Assist with setup and teardown for events or special projects within the facility
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Document completed repairs and maintenance activities accurately in logs or reports
Skills
- Proven experience as a handyman or in general maintenance roles with a broad skill set across multiple trades
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing and basic appliance repair
- Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and implement effective solutions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report on work progress
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders and onto roofs, and working in confined spaces
- Valid driver’s license is required and reliable transportation is preferred
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
