Third Mind Books is seeking a new store associate who is friendly and literary-minded. Our store focuses on collectibles and rare books, particularly of the Beat generation. Familiarity with the beat movement would be great. An interest in the world of publishing and literature and the desire to learn more and grow are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to all customers
- Assist customers in finding and selecting items
- Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Track inventory
- Stay up to date on store policies and procedures
- Attend and help run events as needed
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Experience in cash handling and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Knowledge of and passion for literature and publishing
- Ability to identify and address problem areas with creative solutions
- Display set-up and organization
- Intrinsic drive to help however you can
