Position Summary
We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and/or Occupational Therapist (OTR/OTD) to join our occupational therapy team.
This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys pediatrics, sensory processing, motor development, emotional regulation, ADLs, executive functioning, play-based therapy, and collaborative family care.
We are open to full-time or part-time candidates depending on availability, experience, and clinic needs.
Schedule
Schedule options may include:
Full-Time: 30+ hours per week
Part-Time: Based on candidate availability and clinic needs
Specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
The occupational therapy team member will:
- Provide individualized occupational therapy services to children and families
- Support sensory processing, regulation, motor skills, visual motor skills, executive functioning, play, ADLs, and functional participation
- Collaborate with OTs, COTAs, PTs, SLPs, families, schools, and community providers
- Complete timely documentation, including daily notes, progress updates, and care plan support
- Maintain a safe, organized, and therapeutic treatment environment
- Participate in team meetings, clinical collaboration, and professional growth opportunities
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Provide care through a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, relationship-based approach
For COTA Candidates
COTAs will provide occupational therapy treatment under the supervision of an OTR/OTD. COTAs will collaborate closely with supervising therapists on client goals, progress, care planning, and documentation.
For OTR/OTD Candidates
OTRs/OTDs will complete evaluations, establish plans of care, supervise COTAs as appropriate, provide direct treatment, collaborate with families and providers, and support clinical decision-making across the OT team.

The ideal candidate is:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan
- Passionate about pediatrics, development, regulation, and functional care
- Reliable, compassionate, flexible, and professional
- Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
- Family-centered and community-minded
- Open to mentorship, feedback, and continued learning
- Aligned with neuro-affirming and relationship-based therapy practices
Qualifications
Required:
- Current or eligible Michigan OT or COTA license
- Graduate of an accredited OT or OTA program
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and team members
Preferred:
- Pediatric experience
- Experience with sensory processing, regulation, neurodiversity, motor development, or feeding/ADLs
- Interest in multidisciplinary care, wellness, and community programming
