Job Summary
The Hotel Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The Houseman will work collaboratively with the housekeeping team, maintenance and breakfast to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as needed.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors to ensure a spotless environment.
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Light maintenance
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to maintain health and safety standards.
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
- Maintain an organized cart with cleaning supplies and equipment for efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping or similar hospitality settings is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks effectively when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards of service.
