This is a unique opportunity to join RIU Plaza New York Times Square Hotel as a Bartender. In this role, you will be integral in facilitating a working atmosphere based on respect, collaboration and continuous learning. You’ll leverage your expertise in cocktail making and guest service to contribute to our commitment to excellence and innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails and beverages with speed and precision.
- Manage table clearing and ensure guests are served promptly during peak hours.
- Oversee bar mise-en-place and prepare fresh garnishes and syrups for cocktail service.
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and ensure cold-storage units are properly stocked and rotated.
- Support our "Grab & Go" station and other food & beverage outlets as needed.
- Expertly handle guest requests, suggestions, and dietary preferences.
- Strictly adhere to all NYC Health and Safety regulations, as well as internal Departmental Manuals.
Job Requirements
- Bartending School Certification Required
- NYC Food Handler Certification Required
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-volume, upscale hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and craft beer.
- Excellent multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of TIPs/alcohol safety.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
