Overview
The Quality Technician supports our manufacturing operations by performing inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure that all aerospace components meet internal specifications and customer/industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with measurement tools, and the ability to identify nonconformities in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsabilities

- Perform in-process, first-article, and final inspections on aerospace components using precision measurement tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs (if applicable), and other metrology equipment.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
- Identify nonconforming material and support the MRB (Material Review Board) process.
- Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Conduct visual inspections following aerospace standards (surface finish, defects, FOD prevention, etc.).
- Participate in internal audits, process verifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively.
- Support calibration efforts for measurement devices.
- Follow all safety, compliance, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing (preferred).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints.
- Experience with basic and advanced metrology tools; CMM experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and industry-specific quality standards.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills; experience with ERP/MES or quality software is an advantage.
