Job description:
Production Technician
The Production Technician is responsible for packaging all product in preparation for sale. The ideal candidate is someone with the ability to demonstrate proficiency, organization and attention to detail. Production Technicians report directly to the Production Supervisor and occasionally the Inventory Specialists. Ideal candidates bring experience working in a high pace manufacturing or CPG setting. As well as a commitment to upholding operational excellence and regulatory standards.
Job Duties:
- Sort cured plant material in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
- Meet or exceed daily goals and production standards.
- Responsible for proper use and maintenance of designated equipment.
- Accurately weigh cannabis into various denominations of packaging.
- Apply labels and tamper seals.
- Assemble shipping boxes and partitions.
- Assist new or less experienced personnel in the performance of their duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Comply with all company policies including confidentiality and nondisclosure.
- Maintain OSHA standards, safety and protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve
Core Competencies:
- Previous experience in the cannabis industry is preferred
- Demonstrated experience within a CPG, Manufacturing, or Production setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict policies and procedures
- Ability to measure, package and label in a precise manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.
Schedule
- 8 hour and 10 hour shift available part-time
- 4 hour and 6 hour shift available for part-time
- Weekends may be required
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved as a Registered Agent by the Cannabis Regulatory Commission
