CES/AWS is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Automotive Manufacturer Client.

- Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00 a.m-12:30 p.m., with overtime typically available from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Our automotive manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing production equipment and facility systems to maximize uptime, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC troubleshooting experience, hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production equipment.
Support machine setup, repairs, and changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize production.
Perform PLC troubleshooting and programming using Allen-Bradley (SLC 500–5000) controllers.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Test and validate equipment performance following repairs or extended downtime.
Preventive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs using TPM principles.
Analyze production downtime and identify root causes of recurring equipment issues.
Recommend and implement equipment improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
Submit and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Automation & Manufacturing Support
Support robotic manufacturing systems with basic programming and troubleshooting of Yaskawa and Fanuc robots.
Perform welding system maintenance and repairs (GMAW & GTAW).
Support tube bending equipment and steel fabrication for machine repairs, structural racks, and safety improvements.
Assist with new equipment installations, special projects, and new program launches.
Safety & Team Leadership
Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and company safety procedures.
Train and mentor Maintenance Technicians and production operators on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate recurring equipment issues to leadership.
Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment while collaborating with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent maintenance experience.
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs (SLC 500–5000).
Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance (TPM).
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
Experience with GMAW & GTAW welding systems (welding certification preferred).
Basic programming and troubleshooting experience with Yaskawa and Fanuc robots.
Basic knowledge of tube bending equipment and steel fabrication.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic iPad applications.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work rotating shifts when required to support production and new program launches.
