Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our plastic surgery practice. This role is an important part of the patient care team, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure a smooth and positive experience for every patient. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms, ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Escort patients to exam rooms and record accurate medical histories, vital signs, and medications
- Assist the surgeon during in-office procedures and treatments
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient education and care instructions
- Manage patient flow to support an efficient schedule
- Perform clinical tasks such as suture removal, dressing changes, and administering injections (as permitted by scope of practice)
- Maintain medical supplies and inventory; restock exam and procedure rooms as needed
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Support front office team with scheduling, phone calls, and patient communication as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in a surgical or dermatology/plastic surgery setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills

- Outpatient plastic surgery office setting
- Direct patient contact with both medical and cosmetic procedures

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
