Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are spotless, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks with proper safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies in restrooms and break areas.
- Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and carpet cleaners to ensure high-quality floor care and buffing.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting projects when required.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or painting is a plus.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
