Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dog groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, and excellent pet handling skills, and be comfortable driving a large vehicle. Duties
- Bathing, drying, and grooming dogs according to breed standards and client preferences
- Handling animals gently and effectively to ensure safety and comfort during grooming procedures
- Assisting with animal restraint during grooming and as needed
- Maintaining cleanliness of grooming tools, work areas, and kennels to ensure a hygienic environment
- Monitoring animals for signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and care instructions
- Heavy lifting of animals
Skills
- Experience with proper grooming is required
- Experience with animal restraint and pet care skills
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, including heavy lifting when required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Patience and compassion when handling dogs of all personalities and behaviors is a must.
- This is a mobile grooming salon so you must be comfortable driving a large van
