Position Summary
The Facilities & Ride Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of our facility through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and equipment. This position supports daily operations by keeping the facility clean, safe, and operating efficiently while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on amusement rides, facility equipment and building systems.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general building repairs.
- Service and maintain ice machines, including cleaning, sanitizing, filter changes, and preventative maintenance.
- Replace HVAC filters, clean coils, clear condensate drains, replace belts, and perform other non-refrigerant HVAC maintenance.
- Perform minor refrigeration preventative maintenance, including condenser coil cleaning, gasket replacement, and drain cleaning.
- Troubleshoot and repair doors, gates, locks, hardware, fencing, furniture, fixtures, shelving, and signage.
- Repair and maintain restrooms, kitchens, guest areas, offices, maintenance shop, and outdoor facilities.
- Perform pressure washing, caulking, painting, landscaping support, irrigation repairs, and general property upkeep.
- Maintain air compressors, water filtration systems, and other non-ride mechanical equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Create, follow, and improve preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain organized maintenance shop, parts inventory, and accurate electronic maintenance records.
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and verify work quality.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and health regulations.
- Promote a safe environment for guests and team members.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of maintenance, facilities, handyman, construction, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for work orders, inventory, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 175 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces throughout the shift.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment, loud noise, and flashing lights.
Preferred Experience
Experience in family entertainment centers, amusement parks, hotels, casinos, restaurants, commercial facilities, or property maintenance is a plus.
