Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly assistance and directions as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the lobby area through regular floor cleaning, vacuuming, and dusting using appropriate cleaning equipment
- Handle cleaning tasks involving chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of cleaning supplies or furniture to ensure a tidy environment
- Ensure all flooring is well-maintained through proper floor care techniques including mopping, polishing, and spot cleaning
- Manage janitorial duties efficiently by replenishing supplies, emptying trash bins, and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the shift
- Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment to uphold high standards of sanitation and hygiene in the lobby area
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols to ensure consistent quality and safety standards are met at all times
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments preferred
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is advantageous
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety data sheets (SDS) requirements
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols essential for maintaining a secure environment
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably over extended periods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that enhances guest satisfaction
- Previous experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other industrial tools is highly desirable
