Job Summary
Sanku Maots’ai is looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic Front of House Team Members to join our growing team in Manhattan.
Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the MenuSifu POS system, serving food, maintaining a clean dining area, and providing excellent customer service.
Candidates should have a positive attitude, work well in a fast-paced environment, and be available to work weekends and holidays. Restaurant experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Compensation: Hourly pay plus tips.

Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the MenuSifu POS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring a positive dining
- Answer customer questions and recommend menu items when appropriate.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing and resetting tables.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operating procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking supplies and keeping workstations clean.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Support team members during busy service periods to maintain smooth restaurant operations.
- Prepare takeout and delivery orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all takeout orders are complete before handing them to customers or delivery drivers.
- Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or fast-casual dining environment is preferred.
- Experience using a MenuSifu POS system or the ability to quickly learn new POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and positively with guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic cash handling and payment processing experience.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Food Handler Certificate is preferred (or willingness to obtain one if required).
- Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus.
Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
