Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer supports production and manufacturing processes of high precision Workholding components on CNC machining centers, and grinders. This position develops and implements technical solutions related to CNC programming, routing development, assembly process development, process improvement, and tooling and fixture design. The Manufacturing Engineer works cross-functionally to improve quality, efficiency, workflow, cost, and manufacturability while supporting new product introduction and ongoing production needs.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Support: Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for CNC machining centers, lathes and grinders.
CNC Programming & Routing: Develop and support CNC programs, manufacturing routings, and related process documentation to improve repeatability, quality, and production efficiency.
Process Design & Development: Develop assembly processes, tooling, and fixtures that support safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing operations.
Continuous Improvement: Use Lean tools and continuous improvement methods, including 5S, DMAIC, Standard Work, and Material Flow, to identify process improvements and cost-reduction opportunities.
New Product Introduction: Coordinate the release of new products from Product Engineering to Manufacturing as project support or project lead.
Layout & Workflow Improvement: Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, equipment layout, and material movement.
Process Evaluation & Quality: Apply testing methods that evaluate manufacturing processes to help ensure process efficiency and product quality.
Project Execution: Drive process-related projects from inception through implementation, coordinating with production and other cross-functional teams as required.
Data & Systems: Maintain product and process databases and develop or support computer programs used to manage manufacturing information and processes.
Training: Provide training and technical support related to design, development, manufacturing processes, and process improvements.
Standardization & Compliance: Support manufacturing process standardization in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology required. A related degree and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of CAD/CAM experience required, using AutoCAD, Inventor, Mastercam, SmartCAM, or equivalent software.
CNC Knowledge: Knowledge of CNC machine programming is required.
Manufacturing Knowledge: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, methods, and terminology is required.
Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma belt training.
Demonstrated knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S, DMAIC, Standard Work, and Material Flow.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standardization requirements.

Pay Range: $80,000-100,000 (dependent upon experience
