We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Operator with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to join our team in Sumter, SC.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Operator, you will play an important role in keeping our manufacturing operation running efficiently by receiving, storing, organizing and moving raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in working safely, staying organized and making sure materials and shipments are handled accurately.
What You'll Do
- Move inventory and materials throughout the facility
- Receive, inspect and store raw materials and finished products
- Prepare and process inventory for delivery and shipment
- Package and label products accurately
- Scan incoming materials and verify condition and quality
- Report damaged or missing inventory
- Transfer raw materials to Manufacturing as needed
- Coordinate product shipments based on Customer Service instructions
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and required documentation
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized and free of hazards
- Identify and report equipment or maintenance needs
- Follow all company safety procedures and vehicle-operation requirements
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift driver certification
- Ability to continuously handle bags weighing up to 25 kg / approximately 55 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Dependable, team-oriented work style
- Commitment to safe work practices
Preferred:
- Previous warehouse and inventory-control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with warehouse or inventory-management software
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
