Self-Direction Quality Assurance Coordinator

Self-Directed Services seeks a FT Self-Direction Coordinator with primary focus in Quality Assurance/Compliance
Status:
Full time - Hourly Position: to include full benefits package, PTO and Holidays.
Salary:
Starting $28.00/hour.
Location:
Position is primarily remote in nature though some in-office days will be required mainly based in Rocky Point office.
Summary:
The Self-Direction Quality Assurance Coordinator, working with the Associate Director of Self-Directed Services Fiscal Intermediary and Fiscal Intermediary Manager, will primarily be responsible for:
1. Conduct a review of services provided in the budget year upon roll-over to ensure compliance with Medicaid and OPWDD requirements and to ensure spending is aligned with the budget parameters.
2. Communicate with the people we support, their families, designees, and brokers regarding Medicaid recertification deadlines, providing follow-up as needed.
3. Other responsibilities could include carrying a small caseload or act as a back-up coordinator to the FI Team in which the Self-Direction Coordinator serves as the primary contact for their caseload and is responsible: a) to provide staffing resources for individuals on their caseload, assist with the hiring/training/monitoring of employees, and provide training to the individual/family as co-employer of record; b) provide assistance to the broker/participant/family to access all services in the budget and to process payments as requested; c) for the billing and payment of approved goods and services, fiscal accounting and reporting, Medicaid and corporate compliance, and general administrative supports; d) to generate monthly expenditure reports and monitor all costs associated with budgets and address with participant/broker as necessary; e) to participate in the intake and review process for new budgets, budget amendments and CNBAs submitted f) to ensure all required documents for service delivery and billing are maintained; g) to schedule and conduct Launch meetings and attend LP and COS meetings
4. Other duties as necessary in support of the agency mission.
The candidate should have a strong background using Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power BI, as well as eVero database management software. Background with eVero Software or other on-line record keeping is a plus. Valid New York State drivers’ license.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in human service Field or Finance equivalent; two years’ experience working in a Human Service Field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong background in OPWDD regulations preferred, specifically self-directed services.
