American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a day shift travel contract at an acute care hospital and Level III Trauma Center in Washington, MO.

Acute care hospital setting with comprehensive medical, surgical, obstetric, and pediatric services
-
Registered Respiratory Therapist role within the respiratory therapy department
-
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Weekend hours as needed

Floating required as needed

No on-call requirements

13-week contract

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory care, emergency care, and intensive care
-
Current RCP license in the state of practice (license required if applicable)
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
-
Strong knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
-
Experience with respiratory equipment including therapeutic gas administration apparatus and mechanical ventilators
-
Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
-
No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
-
Responsibilities include setting up and operating therapeutic gas administration devices and mechanical ventilators
-
Provides emergency care including external cardiac massage, artificial respiration, and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Maintains patient identification and therapy charts
-
Works in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the health system
-
Basic nursery experience is a plus
-
The facility is the only Level III Trauma Center between St. Louis and Jefferson City, as well as a designated Level II Stroke Center and Level II STEMI Center
-
Black scrubs required
-
Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
-
Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Certifications must not be expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of a scheduled renewal is provided
