Job Overview
Troger Awning & Sunscreen is seeking a reliable and motivated Awning Installer to join our team. This position involves installing retractable awnings, fixed awnings, roll shutters, and exterior shade systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, using tools, and working at heights.
Responsibilities
- Install retractable and fixed awnings, roll shutters, and shade products
- Read and follow installation instructions and measurements
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Work on ladders and at heights when required
- Ensure installations are completed cleanly and professionally
- Communicate with team members and customers on-site
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and job site
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Knowledge of mounting into different surfaces (wood, concrete, brick, siding)
- Carpentry or exterior installation background
- 5 years experience in construction
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with awning installation or construction
- Experience using drills, levels, and mounting hardware
- Customer service experience
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
