The Grocery Clerk is responsible for stocking shelves, maintaining product displays, assisting customers, and ensuring the grocery department remains clean, organized, and well-stocked. This position helps provide an excellent shopping experience by delivering friendly customer service and supporting daily store operations.

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Assist customers in locating products and answering questions.

Provide prompt and courteous service to enhance the shopping experience.

Address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary.

Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise.

Rotate products using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.

Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are properly faced.

Set up promotional displays and signage as directed.

Check inventory levels and notify supervisors of low-stock items.

Receive and unload deliveries.

Verify product quantities and inspect merchandise for damage.

Remove expired, damaged, or recalled products from shelves.

Keep aisles, shelves, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.

Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.

Assist with store cleanup and recovery activities.

Work collaboratively with other team members and departments.

Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education: High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience: Grocery experience preferred.
Knowledge: Knowledge of basic aspects in the grocery industry.
Other: Individual must have reliable transportation to arrive at work on time.
