Job Overview

Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead classroom management efforts to create a nurturing environment conducive to active learning and positive behavior management.
- Develop and adapt curriculum using learning technology tools to meet diverse student needs, including special education and working with children with autism.
- Mentor and support fellow teachers and teaching assistants through coaching, feedback, and professional development initiatives.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing methods; tailor instructional approaches accordingly to support individual growth.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about child development milestones, behavioral concerns, and educational progress.
- Coordinate extracurricular activities such as library services or tutoring sessions that enrich the early childhood experience.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, attendance, and behavior reports in accordance with education administration standards.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or kindergarten settings within private or public schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects like literacy, math, physical education, and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with diverse learners including children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Familiarity with Montessori or other alternative educational philosophies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and community partners.
- Knowledge of learning technology platforms used for lesson planning and student assessment tools.
- Prior mentoring or leadership roles that showcase your ability to guide fellow educators toward excellence in teaching practices.
