We're looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to support grounds and property upkeep for a private family estate. Hours will flex up/down depending on weather and needs of the family.
No skilled trade experience required to start, but there's an opportunity to grow into handyman work over time. We're willing to invest in someone who shows initiative and wants to build those skills. If you already come with handyman experience, we're open to discussing pay and hours accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Watering, weeding, and general landscape upkeep
- Snow removal
- Hauling and moving heavy items as needed
- Cleaning building exteriors, walkways, and outdoor surfaces
- Reporting maintenance issues or property concerns to the team
- Using a phone/mobile app to update task status and maintain daily checklists
What we're looking for:
- Reliable and punctual
- Takes direction well and follows instructions carefully
- Naturally observant — notices what needs doing without being told every time
- Hardworking, doesn't cut corners
- Trustworthy — this role is on private family property, so honesty and discretion are essential
- Communicates proactively rather than guessing when something's unclear
- Comfortable using a smartphone and basic apps
Requirements:
- Ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable navigating lots of stairs, indoors and outdoors, throughout the day
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, including snow removal conditions
- Reliable transportation
- References and background check required
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
