Experienced Full-Time Infant Nanny Needed in Bellevue Long Term

Ideal Start Date: September 21, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. The position includes 40 guaranteed paid hours each week. During the initial phase of the position, the nanny should expect to work approximately 50 hours per week, with all hours over 40 paid at the legally required overtime rate. As the child grows and the family’s needs evolve, the schedule may eventually decrease to approximately 40-45 hours per week. The family would also appreciate reasonable flexibility when occasional schedule adjustments are needed.
Child: One infant daughter, approximately five months old at the start of the position
Compensation: $30.00-$35.00/hour DOE, plus overtime for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. The family is open to adjusting compensation for an exceptional candidate. The position also includes 40 guaranteed paid hours each week, 80 hours of paid time off annually, accrued paid sick leave, six paid federal holidays, and legal W-2 employment through a payroll service.
Length of Position: Long-term and year-round. The family hopes to retain their nanny for at least 2.5 years and may need continued nanny care for four to five years as their family grows.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
The Family
A thoughtful and busy Bellevue family is seeking an experienced, calm, and proactive full-time nanny for their infant daughter. She is generally easygoing, adaptable, and easy to comfort, with no known allergies or medical or developmental considerations.
The family hopes to find a knowledgeable nanny who will become a trusted partner as they navigate their daughter’s infancy and early childhood. They value curiosity, independence, and adaptability and want to create an environment that encourages their daughter to explore, learn, and grow with confidence.
Experience is the family’s highest priority, followed by personality fit and flexibility. They are looking for someone reliable with whom they can develop a strong personal connection. They would especially appreciate a nanny who can share infant-development knowledge, suggest appropriate toys and materials, and collaborate with them as their daughter’s routines and developmental needs change.
One parent works from home full-time, and the other works from home part of the time. Both parents work from separate home offices, allowing the nanny and child to have their own space during the day. The home has no pets, and parking is available. The home is not easily accessible by public transportation, so the nanny will need reliable transportation to and from work.
The Job Description
This is a professional, childcare-focused nanny position. The family is not seeking broad household-assistant or general housekeeping support.
The nanny will provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care while establishing consistent routines for feeding, naps, awake time, play, and outings. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of infant development and be able to adapt activities and routines as the child grows.
A central part of the position will be creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally supportive environment. The family hopes to find someone who will do more than provide basic supervision. They would like a nanny who will thoughtfully engage their daughter, recognize emerging developmental needs, and recommend age-appropriate toys, books, activities, and supplies.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Childcare Responsibilities
- Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for the family’s infant daughter
- Establish and maintain consistent feeding, nap, awake-time, and activity routines
- Prepare bottles and feed the child according to the family’s established routines
- Engage the child through reading, tummy time, conversation, music, sensory play, walks, and other age-appropriate activities
- Support the child’s physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional development
- Proactively plan developmentally appropriate activities as the child grows
- Recommend age-appropriate toys, books, supplies, and activities
- Take the child on neighborhood walks and age-appropriate outings
- Monitor developmental milestones and communicate observations to the parents
- Maintain open, proactive communication with the parents regarding the child’s routines, activities, needs, and progress
- Potentially transport the child to activities or outings in the future if mutually agreed upon
Child-Related Household Support
- Prepare and clean bottles, feeding supplies, and other child-related items
- Complete and fold the child’s laundry
- Keep the nursery, play areas, and other child-related spaces clean and organized
- Organize the child’s clothing, toys, books, supplies, and belongings
- Clean up after meals, bottles, activities, and other child-related tasks
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of diapers, feeding supplies, and other frequently used child-related items

Vaccinations

Nanny Attributes, Qualifications, and Requirements
- At least five years of professional childcare experience
- At least three years of professional infant-care experience
- Strong knowledge of infant development, routines, safe sleep practices, feeding, and developmental milestones
- Demonstrated ability to create an engaging and developmentally appropriate environment for an infant
- Calm, proactive, structured, dependable, and communicative
- Warm, nurturing, patient, adaptable, and emotionally mature
- Comfortable working collaboratively with parents who work from home
- Confident sharing age-appropriate guidance and recommendations while respecting the parents’ preferences and decisions
- Current infant and child CPR and First Aid certification
- Early childhood education or child-development experience preferred but not required
- Newborn Care Specialist training or similar infant-focused education is a plus but not required
- Bilingual ability is welcomed, with Chinese-language skills especially preferred
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable personal vehicle, and appropriate automobile insurance
- Excellent professional references
- Ability to make a long-term commitment
