JOB TITLE: Seasonal Educator
REPORTS TO: Education Coordinator
Primary Purpose
Gilbert House Children's Museum provides educational programs to children as part of our endeavor to encourage children to learn and grow through play. This position emphasizes the educational elements of exhibits and programs at the museum.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Summer Camp
· Lead museum exploration time with small groups of campers
· Occasionally substitute for absent Camp Educators.
· Assist Camp Educators with weekly trips to the splash pad and other occasional camp outings.
· Assist with prepping supplies for summer camp.
· Other tasks as assigned.
Parrish Exhibits
· Restock and restage Parrish Exhibits as needed.
· As time allows, engage with visitors of all ages in the Parrish Exhibits, promoting the visitors’ experimentation, discovery, and creativity.
· Close and clean the Parrish exhibits at end of day.
Science Lab
· Lead Science Time activities with small groups of museum visitors.
· Clean, restage, and prep lab materials throughout the day.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform other duties as assigned

Duration: June 23 – August 30, (excluding July 4th)
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Pay: $18.00 per hour
