Very busy interior design company looking to add to our installation staff! Our installers are responsible for providing furniture installation and moving services for interior design projects. This is a physical job and requires someone who is willing to work in any condition. PLEASE NOTE that this job requires overnight travel out of town (expenses paid).
Work schedule is Monday through Friday with very occasional weekends (typically no more than 1-2 per year). Normal hours are 8am – 5pm most days. There is no guarantee of a certain number of hours, however we average 8-hour workdays 4 to 5 days per week during normal business circumstances. Must be able to travel out of town overnight for multiple consecutive weekdays, up to 75% each month. Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, internet access, and a smartphone.
Starting Pay Rate: $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience; performance-based raises and room to grow beyond for the right candidate.
Position Summary: Installers are responsible for moving furniture, loading and unloading trucks, assembling furniture, and installing design elements per specifications. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the warehouse as needed and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading and moving furniture
- Building and setting up new furniture in homes
- Assisting with hanging window treatments and artwork
- Cleaning and prepping work areas
- Cleaning up at job sites after projects are completed
- Assist in warehouse as needed with furniture assembly, clean up, future project planning, etc.
- Assist other employees with assigned tasks in a safe, effective manner
Skills/Requirements
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer support skills
- Must have experience using common hand tools (hammer, screwdrivers, electric drills, etc)
- Must be able to work well with others and take direction from the management team
- Must be able to read and understand directions for assembling furniture and follow proper procedures for moving furniture. We will train the right person in all aspects of our installation procedures
- Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting, lifting 60lbs or more (frequently), moving furniture, including up and down stairs
- Our work includes moving furnishings from our warehouse into vehicles and delivering them into our client locations regardless of weather conditions
- Will be required to climb and descend ladders when assisting with installation of window treatments and artwork
- Will be using basic tools such as hammers, box cutters, screw drivers, and power drills (provided) that will require the full use of hands/fingers to operate
