Financial Service Representative
Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH), downtown Columbus office
Pay Rate: $19 per hour, paid weekly
Schedule: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Target Start Date: ASAP upon completion of new hire onboarding
Role Overview:
As a Representative, you'll provide prompt, efficient service for assigned product and/or service center internal and external customers. Consults and interprets contract provisions for current and past products and assumed business for policyholders, agents/brokers and other Enterprise operating units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responds to inquiries from customers, brokers, agents, and government agencies through oral and written communications.
- Assists with and processes financial transactions and contract-related requests in accordance with policy provisions and regulatory guidelines.
- Interprets and explains contract provisions for current and historical products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviews and resolves routine processing errors, escalating complex or exceptional cases as needed.
Education: College Degree preferred, high school diploma required.
Experience: Three years' work experience with two years product-related customer service work experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- General office practices, customer service, and office equipment.
- Information systems and insurance/financial services industry practices (i.e. Life Insurance) preferred.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and management.
- Ability to identify and evaluate problems and analyze customer inquiries and determine the appropriate action.
