Position Overview
Neighborhood Roofing is looking for a skilled Exterior Carpenter to join our production team. This role focuses on exterior repairs and replacements including fascia, soffit, trim, siding, and related components. Roofing experience is a bonus—but strong exterior carpentry skills are what really matter here.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Repair, replace, and install exterior components including fascia, soffit, trim, siding, and related materials
- Perform minor roofing-related repairs and adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot defects and deficiencies and recommend solutions
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Clearly document all completed work, notes, and photos in the CRM
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager to meet job goals and timelines
- Communicate with the PM and/or customer regarding additional scope of work or costs
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures—no shortcuts, no heroics
- Maintain punctuality, a positive attitude, and professional communication with customers and coworkers
- Manage time and daily schedule efficiently
- Provide advance notice for PTO when possible
- Maintain a good driving record
- Be available to work early mornings and occasional late evenings
- Maintain and care for basic hand tools; communicate when tools need repair or replacement
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience in exterior carpentry, roofing, or related construction fields
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with industry-related tools and equipment
- Experience with steep-slope and flat roofing is a plus
- Understanding of how exterior materials and roofing systems are assembled and repaired
- Working knowledge of: Fascia and trim repair, Valley and ridge repair, Chimney and pipe flashing, Minor carpentry and metal work, Skylights.
- Comfortable using technology to document work: CRM systems, Email and basic computer applications (Excel, Word, Outlook),
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb and carry ladders
- Comfortable working at heights and walking roofs safely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Daily physical activity is expected
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and 75+ lbs. occasionally
- Ability to set up and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to work
- Must supply basic hand tools (all other tools provided)
- Ability to work early mornings and occasional late evenings
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
