Job Overview
The Cannabis Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, secure, and compliant delivery of cannabis products between licensed facilities and dispensaries. This role requires strict attention to detail, adherence to state regulations, and a strong sense of accountability while handling regulated inventory.
This position also serves as a key point of contact during deliveries, representing the company with professionalism while ensuring accurate documentation, timely transport, and a high standard of service at every stop.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify manifests, invoices, and all required documentation for accuracy before and after deliveries; ensure all paperwork is completed, signed, and ready for filing.
- Load, organize, and secure delivery vehicles at the start of each shift, and safely transport medical cannabis products to dispensaries across Kentucky in compliance with all company policies and state regulations.
- Maintain custody, security, and accountability of all inventory during transport; promptly report any discrepancies or issues.
- Communicate professionally with dispensary staff and provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a positive, hospitality-driven delivery experience.
- Immediately communicate with internal leadership, including reporting delays, vehicle issues, accidents, or compliance concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and equipment, including routine inspections and basic maintenance (fluids, tire pressure, cameras, etc.).
- Assist with manufacturing, packaging and other operational duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Ability to pass a background check with no disqualifying felony offenses in accordance with Kentucky cannabis regulations
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to Dayton, KY 41074
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and remain dependable in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working within a highly regulated industry and following strict procedures
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50+ lbs
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in delivery driving, logistics, or transportation services
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Familiarity with inventory manifests and chain-of-custody procedures
- Experience operating cargo vans or commercial delivery vehicles
- Knowledge of Kentucky medical cannabis regulations and METRC Tracking System
This position may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, extended driving periods, loading and unloading inventory, and working within a fast-paced operational environment. Employees are expected to maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strict compliance standards at all times.
Compliance Note: We operate under Kentucky’s medical cannabis framework (KRS 218B; 915 KAR). Packaging/labeling, surveillance, transportation, and seed-to-sale traceability are strictly enforced; training provided.
Background Check Requirement: Applicant must be able to pass a background check with no disqualifying felony (per KY OMC regulations). As a condition of employment, a complete state and federal background investigation will be required. Individuals that have been convicted of a criminal offense related to the sale or possession of illegal drugs, narcotics or controlled substances may not hold a position with Toro Infused.
