Duties
- Assist escrow officers by preparing and reviewing escrow documents, contracts, and loan packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate timely processing of escrow transactions
- Verify borrower information through credit analysis and ensure compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations
- Manage escrow accounts by tracking deposits, disbursements, and ensuring proper documentation in accordance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements
- Conduct basic math calculations for loan amounts, closing costs, and prorations using 10-key typing skills to ensure precise financial transactions
- Support loan origination processes by assisting with underwriting procedures, loan processing steps, and maintaining detailed records
- Ensure all escrow activities adhere to banking standards, mortgage servicing protocols, and contractual obligations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in loan officer roles or mortgage servicing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with TILA regulations, contracts management, and Fair Housing laws
- Strong understanding of banking operations, credit analysis, and escrow procedures
- Proficiency in basic math skills and 10-key typing for accurate financial calculations
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in document review and data entry
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, lenders, title companies, and internal teams to ensure seamless transaction flow
