Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finishers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to drywall installations, ensuring smooth, seamless surfaces that meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, even finish.
- Sand and prepare drywall surfaces for painting or further finishing work, ensuring flawless results.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute drywall installation and finishing tasks.
- Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to coordinate project workflows on construction sites.
- Perform related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and door hanging as needed for project completion.
- Assist with water damage restoration and mold remediation efforts by properly finishing affected drywall areas.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction roles with a solid understanding of construction site procedures.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and various building techniques including metal stud framing, stucco, masonry, and flooring installation.
- Hands-on experience with plastering, caulking, painting (including airless paint spraying), tile laying, and trim carpentry.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems—construction plumbing and plumbing fixture installation—and water damage restoration processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; previous experience in restoration industry or remodeling projects is a plus.
- Strong skills in hand tools operation along with safety awareness on active construction sites.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the flexibility to adapt across multiple trades such as masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and handyman tasks.
