Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Cook to join our restaurant team. The Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and deliver high-quality food consistently.
Responsibilities
● Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
● Set up and stock cooking stations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
● Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner during service periods.
● Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
● Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
● Monitor food quality and report any issues to management.
● Properly store and label food products.
● Assist with receiving and organizing inventory deliveries.
● Minimize food waste and practice portion control.
● Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.
Qualifications
● Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred.
● Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
● Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
● Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
