A candidate shall have 2 years or more of Java and Web development experience, a great personality with excellent communication skills, and a team player with a can-do attitude.
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Work with software architects and requirement analysts to implement the latest internet security standard and functions
- Design and implement enterprise web applications and user interfaces using the latest JavaEE and Web technologies
- Perform unit, functional and integration tests, and resolve trouble tickets
- Participate in professional conferences (great training opportunities), and customer meetings (incl. occasional out-of-state travel)
Qualifications:
- B.S/B.A from an accredited 4-year college in computer science, math, engineering, and related fields
- 2+ years of Java and/or Web development experience with Apache Tomcat/Jetty and JavaEE APIs
- Solid knowledge and experience in Java I/O, Net I/O APIs, and the concept of Unix data streams
- 1+ years of HTML/JavaScripts/AJAX/CSS. Knowledge and experience with one or more JavaScript framework preferred
- 2+ years of JDBC/ODBC/SQL and/or NoSQL database experience (MongoDB preferred)
- Experience with Eclipse and related development tools/IDEs. Experience with MVC, JUnit and other integrated test tools and methodologies
- Knowledge and experience in software engineering processes, including the use of Git, Maven and/or Jenkins. Agile development methodologies and DevOps experience preferred
- Great organizational ability, excellent analysis and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, and capable to work in a fun, fast-paced team environment
