Job Summary:
Better at Home LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate Field Coordinator / Caregiver to join our team in a dynamic dual role. This position splits responsibilities between field coordination/office administration and direct, hands-on patient care.
The ideal candidate will manage caregiver scheduling, compliance, and field support, while also stepping into the field to deliver exceptional care and companionship to our clients as needed. Key ResponsibilitiesField Coordination & Operations
- Scheduling & Coverage: Assist with caregiver scheduling, manage call-outs, and ensure consistent shift coverage for open positions.
- Field Support & Supervisory Visits: Conduct on-site caregiver supervisory visits, client assessments, re-assessments, and service reviews to ensure strict compliance with care plans.
- Onboarding & Training: Support the onboarding of new caregivers, conducting orientations, documentation compliance, and providing field coaching or performance feedback.
- Administrative & Compliance Support: Maintain accurate client and caregiver records, assist with payroll/time verification, and ensure operations follow agency policies and state home care regulations.
- Communication Hub: Answer incoming office calls, handle disputes, and coordinate smooth communication between caregivers, clients, and clinical leadership.
Direct Caregiver Responsibilities
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide hands-on personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Companionship & Comfort: Deliver empathetic companionship, emotional support, and mental stimulation to clients in their homes.
- Light Housekeeping & Meals: Assist with meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and running essential errands.
- Emergency Shift Support: Act as the primary emergency backup caregiver, traveling between client locations at a moment's notice to cover critical open shifts.
- Clinical Documentation: Accurately document all elements of patient vitals, care tasks, behavioral changes, or incidents during caregiving shifts.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on caregiving experience is required. Previous experience in home care, home health, or a hospital setting is mandatory.
- Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in caregiver scheduling, supervising healthcare staff, or practice coordination.
- Mobility Requirements: Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required to facilitate frequent travel between multiple client locations.
- Caregiving Capability: Physically able to perform standard caregiving tasks, including bending, lifting, and transferring patients safely.
- Communication & Software: Exceptional verbal/written communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with basic computer operations, scheduling systems, and email/Google Workspace.
- Certifications: Current CPR Certification (Required). Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate or similar is a strong plus.

- Experience working directly with home care EMR/scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Prior office management or administrative assistant experience.
