Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Assist customers with product information, demonstrations, and upselling to enhance their shopping experience
- Manage cash register operations including cashiering, cash drawer handling, and processing returns or exchanges
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Support inventory management by conducting stock checks and assisting with inventory replenishment
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations for transactions and cash handling
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations is preferred
