Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing, and related mechanical systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of equipment, enhance energy efficiency, and uphold safety standards. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Conduct field service operations involving appliance repair, plumbing repairs, equipment maintenance, and welding tasks as needed.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to test electrical components and ensure proper system functioning.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Operate a vehicle safely for transportation of tools or equipment between sites.
- Assist in the installation of new HVAC/R systems following safety protocols and industry standards.
- Support property maintenance efforts by performing general repairs related to HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Experience
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing repairs and appliance troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and performing equipment repair tasks.
- Experience with welding techniques for metal fabrication or repair work related to HVAC components is preferred.

Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
