American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access RN with ultrasound-guided IV placement experience for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated pediatric acute care facility.

Work on the IV Therapy Vascular Access Team in an acute care pediatric hospital setting
-
Serves pediatric to adult patient populations

Rotating day/evening/night shifts (3x12 hours) with start times of 7am, 11am, or 3pm/7pm

Weekend shifts required

Uses ultrasound guidance and vein finder technology for vascular access

EPIC EMR used
-
Active MA RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Prior experience on a pediatric vascular access team required (e.g., HemeOnc, ICU)

Ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder experience required

Skilled in insertion and management of PICCs, implanted ports, and other vascular access devices

Experience with site and vessel selection/evaluation, patency assessment, and vascular access troubleshooting

2 verified professional references from 2 of the last 3 places worked, from different facilities

Perform vascular access procedures including PICC insertion, port access, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement for neonatal/pediatric and adult patients

Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center with a Level III/IV NICU
