Position Title: Shop Helper

Essential Functions:

The Shop Helper position will be responsible for picking up and delivering parts, tools, equipment, and supplies between vendors, the shop, and field locations while also assisting mechanics and shop personnel with general maintenance and housekeeping duties.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver parts, tools, equipment, and supplies from vendors and other locations.
- Deliver parts and materials to field crews and job sites as needed.
- Verify parts and materials against purchase orders, invoices, or delivery tickets.
- Maintain accurate records of parts pickups and deliveries.
- Load and unload parts, tools, equipment, and materials safely.
- Communicate with the Fleet Manager, Mechanics, Purchasing, and Operations regarding parts and delivery needs.
- Assist with locating and sourcing parts from local suppliers.
- Keep company vehicles used for parts deliveries clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Follow all company driving and vehicle safety policies.
- Assist mechanics with basic maintenance and repair activities.
- Help move, stage, and organize equipment, tools, parts, and materials.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining shop areas, equipment, and workspaces.
- Perform general shop maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Help prepare equipment for deployment to job sites.
- Assist with inventory organization and maintain an orderly parts area.
- Dispose of trash, used materials, and waste according to company procedures.
- Perform other general shop duties as assigned by management.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and parts (up to 80 pounds) as required.

Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, construction, trucking, equipment, or maintenance environment preferred.
- Experience with heavy equipment or commercial trucks.
- Knowledge of automotive, diesel, hydraulic, or mechanical parts.
- Familiarity with local Fort Worth/Dallas-Fort Worth parts suppliers.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
