Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. You will coordinate with technicians to deliver top-quality service, manage repair orders, and promote additional services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, providing detailed auto estimates and options for repairs or maintenance
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Upsell additional services by identifying customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain detailed service writing records and update customer files with all relevant information
- Ensure vehicle maintenance is performed according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a solid understanding of automotive service management
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, oil changes, and auto body repairs
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience in auto estimating software and service writing processes
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining trust and transparency with customers
- Familiarity with auto sales processes is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling cash transactions and documentation
- Knowledge of mechanic work environments including service technician experience is advantageous
