Position Summary
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily station activities, driver performance, fleet preparedness, staffing needs, and overall operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily delivery operations supporting 40–60+ drivers across multiple routes.
- Take ownership of station KPIs including safety, service levels, route completion, attendance, and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain supervisors, dispatchers, and delivery associates.
- Develop schedules and staffing strategies to consistently fulfill route commitments throughout the year.
- Manage fleet readiness including maintenance scheduling, registrations, inspections, and damage control.
- Review incidents, address unsafe behavior, and promote a strong safety-focused culture.
- Control labor productivity and overtime.
- Leverage Excel and reporting systems to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the lead on-site decision maker, resolving operational issues in real time.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, field operations, or a comparable industry.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and enforce accountability.
- Prior experience supervising hourly employees in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical ability and knowledge of vehicles.
- Proficient in computer systems including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and operational reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience with Amazon DSP, FedEx, UPS, moving, trucking, or delivery operations is a plus.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
