Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and answering questions about products and services
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising by organizing shelves, displays, and promotional materials to attract customer attention
- Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are replenished and neatly arranged for easy browsing
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Support in-store marketing efforts by promoting sales and special offers to maximize revenue
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math enhances your ability to serve customers efficiently
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills help build rapport with customers and team members alike
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments provides a solid foundation for success in this role
