Job Description:
Literary Verse is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Publishing Operations Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day workflow of our publishing projects. This role is responsible for coordinating the publication process from manuscript submission through final distribution, ensuring that authors receive exceptional service and projects are completed on time.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with editors, designers, marketing specialists, audiobook producers, and client success teams to manage multiple publishing projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills, project management experience, and a passion for books and publishing are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all stages of the publishing lifecycle, including editing, formatting, cover design, and distribution.
- Track project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for authors throughout the publishing process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Maintain publishing schedules, project documentation, and status reports.
- Assist with print-on-demand and eBook publishing platforms.
- Monitor quality assurance standards for all published materials.
- Support audiobook and marketing campaign coordination.
- Identify process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve project-related issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Publishing, English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in publishing, project coordination, or operations management.
- Familiarity with publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or Draft2Digital.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working remotely is a plus.
Pay: $27.40 - $32.00 per hour
