JOB SUMMARY
We are hiring for the 2026*2027 School Year.
Preschool Teachers are responsible for the supervision and management of a classroom in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and curriculum plans. The principal duties of the Teacher include: Developing action plans, carrying out activities on a daily basis and evaluating the effectiveness of the child development activities, supervising staff assigned to assist in the classroom, ensuring the safety and physical well-being of the children, maintaining regular communication with parents and contribute to the effective operation of the overall child development center program.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PREREQUISITES
- BA or AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Degree with experience and college credits.
- Willingness to participate in professional training and activities to improve skills.
- Ability to establish supportive relationships with children & parents to foster a relationship of mutual respect and shared decision-making with families. Be able to relate to and work effectively with children and adults using a non-biased approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must pass criminal background, child maltreatment, sex offender registry check, and pre-employment health screening.
- Ability to work at all levels (floor, small chairs, bending, squatting, and standing).
- Computer literacy includes email, word processing, Google Suite, and internet navigation
This position is full-time, 10 months a year, with unemployment pay for the 2 months not worked. Hours are 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m, children are dismissed at 1:30 each day- the last two hours of the day are prep time. Monday-Friday. Background checks and fit-to-work physical exams are required. Pay starts at $15.95 per hour for applicants with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, and pay starts at $20.81 per hour for applicants with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.
