Job Title: Exterminator

Reports To: AG&E Regional Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $45,000 - $52,000 Annually
Position Summary:
The extermination position is responsible for spraying, fumigating, and trap setting to exterminate pests across all Housing Authority–owned and managed properties. This position ensures all properties meet or exceed HUD requirements, including NSPIRE standards, by maintaining safe, sanitary, and fully functional housing conditions.
The exterminator position plays a critical role in protecting the Housing Authority’s physical assets, supporting resident health and safety, and maintaining ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations through proactive maintenance planning, inspections, and execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the AG&E Regional Coordinator to coordinate maintenance projects and activities.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, state, and federal laws.
- Keep accurate time sheets of work performed.

- Conduct inspections of LMHA properties and complete assignments.
- Spraying, fumigating and trap setting to exterminate pests.
- Record worker activities and results.
- Maintains records related to pest control and quantities of materials and supplies used.
- Assist in planning building and grounds pest extermination schedules.
- Ability to properly mix or distribute chemicals and supplies.
- Assesses extraordinary situations and determines solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be subject to call in emergency situations
Education:
- High school graduate or its equivalent.
Experience:
- One (1) years’ experience in a related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of various maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment pertaining to pest control.
- Knowledge of pest control methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of general health and safety standards
- Ability to acquire knowledge of agency policies and regulations.
- Ability to acquire necessary license for the distribution and or mixing of all required chemicals pertaining to extermination within 90 days of start date.
- Ability to plan and organize.
- Ability to make sound decisions.
- Ability to mix chemicals and apply toxins.
- Ability to plan pest control schedules.
- Ability to supervise and train subordinates.
- Ability to read and understand technical data.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to bend, crouch, crawl, and work on your knees for an extended period.
