Responsibilities
- Safely operate:
- CDL-A: Tractor-trailer combinations
- CDL-B: Straight/box trucks
- Transport household goods and commercial furniture to local destinations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain DOT-compliant driver logs
- Follow all FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
- Lead and support moving crews during loading and unloading
- Assist with packing, crating, installation, assembly, and disassembly of furniture
- Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and obtain customer signatures
- Report incidents and submit required documentation promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to pass:
- DOT physical
- Background check
- Pre-employment drug screening
Preferred:
- Commercial/Office moving experience
- Furniture delivery experience
- Crew lead or supervisory experience
