Position Overview
We seek an experienced Project Architect with 5+ years of experience to lead project teams and create success for the client and Schooley Caldwell. Creativity and collaboration are at the heart of your work.
Your Role
- Responsible for leading a project team through the coordination and delivery of project detailing and documentation
- Oversee the work of designers and intern architects
- Responsible for coordination of engineering and other consultants
- Contribute to all aspects and phases of the architectural design process
- Assist in creating project schedules and budgets
- Knowledgeable about building codes, construction techniques, as well as building materials
- Attend and often lead project meetings
- Establish and nurture client relationships
- Participate in professional development and mentorship roles
- Participate in marketing/business development efforts
- Desire for professional advancement
Skills and Qualifications
- Licensed architect with current registration in the State of Ohio
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in all phases of architectural projects
- Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and building systems
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (Revit) and AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of architectural billings
- Considered a leader with the ability to mentor and help others grow professionally
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and have excellent verbal and written skills
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and have the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Interest in historic preservation and adaptive resuse
- Experience with the State of Ohio, other public, and civic projects
