Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for an Electronics Technician for a client in Portland, OR that focuses on renewable energy manufacturing and large rotating machinery systems. This is a temporary project, expected to be one to three months in duration. The person in this position will perform soldering and cable assembly work on in-house cable builds used in the renewable energy sector.
PAY: $30-$40/hr
Electronics Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering and termination of cable assemblies per documented work
- instructions.
- Build cable assemblies to precise, often very short, length specifications.
- Read and follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Inspect and test completed assemblies for workmanship quality and conformance to
- spec.
- Work collaboratively alongside a Senior Engineer performing parallel builds.
- Flag discrepancies between work instructions and physical materials before proceeding.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bench/work area.
Electronics Technician Qualifications:
- Several years of hands-on experience in soldering and cable/wire harness assembly.
- Demonstrated precision and attention to detail, particularly with small-scale/short-length
- work.
- Ability to read and execute written work instructions and assembly drawings without
- close supervision.
- Comfortable working in both shop floor and EE lab environments.
- Strong manual dexterity and steady hand control for fine soldering work.
- Must be able to identify wires by color and stripe combination.
- Experience building cables/harnesses for engineering prototypes or low-volume preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Details and Schedule:
- $30-$35/hour
- Approx. 1-3 month temporary assignment
- Potential for extension based on project needs
- MON-FRI day shift schedule, 40 hours/week
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
