The Seminary Program and Student Life Assistant (Assistant) is responsible for the day-to-day office operations and student experience at FPU Biblical Seminary. This includes providing administrative support to program directors and the MFT Program, implementing administrative tasks, and coordinating communications, events, and student spaces. The Assistant is responsible for maintaining knowledge of current laws and regulations related to the profession by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences, facilitates procedural relationships with the Department Chair, Seminary Admissions, Seminary Advancement, and other FPU offices, and works as part of a team that fosters a positive experience for students.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance (e.g., internal communications, reimbursements, meeting logistics & minutes, paperwork/ forms, reports).

Support the Department Chair’s priorities and assist executive staff as directed.

Assist the other assistants in administrative coordination and schedule (e.g. faculty candidate visits).

Manage adjunct faculty onboarding—agreements, payouts, and initial system training.

Serve as primary point of contact and liaison for adjunct faculty.

Maintain course offerings and enrollment data in Colleague; alert faculty or leadership to add/cancel classes.

Manage textbook orders and course materials logistics.

Stay current with accrediting/licensing bodies (e.g., BBS, WASC, ATS).

Assist with accreditation processes and regulatory filings.

Update the Practicum Manual and Program Handbook annually.

Audit and manage Therapy Assistance Funds.

Provide support for community-building activities, coffee breaks, luncheons, and events
-
Help plan, coordinate, and implement all Seminary related events including scheduling and coordinating rooms and food service, including but not limited to, the annual Seminary Graduation Gala, Hooding Ceremonies, Commencement, Convocations, etc.

Facilitate student communications, orientation events, and outgoing student liaison.

Oversee Seminary Student Leadership Team activities.

Order and restock office and student-space supplies; handle mail and maintenance requests.

Retrieve and sort departmental mail

Maintain proficiency in university systems and train faculty as needed.

Interface with offices (Provost, Registrar, Financial Aid, IT) on behalf of students and faculty.

Assist with coordination and completion of Admissions interviews for prospective students

Provide administrative support for the Pacific Counseling Center Executive Director and Administrative Staff as directed

Greet new and existing clients

Travel to various regional sites as needed.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
$35,360.00 to $42,640.00 is the annual starting salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
