Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that arise during service.
- Provide assistance to guests with inquiries or concerns, demonstrating excellent guest service skills.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions and calculating bills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent guest services skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and hospitality standards is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
