Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate served
- Manage inventory control and food cost management to optimize resources and minimize waste
- Plan menus that reflect current trends, dietary needs, and customer preferences while adhering to budget constraints
- Ensure compliance with all food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, delivering memorable culinary experiences for large groups
- Supervise shift management, delegate tasks effectively, and support team development through coaching and training
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining, catering, and restaurant management
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams confidently
- Knowledge of food production, food handling, and food safety protocols including sanitizing procedures
- Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management with an eye for detail and presentation
- Experience in inventory management, cost control, and managing food service operations efficiently
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate staff and ensure seamless service delivery
- Familiarity with banquet experience, dietary department standards, and hospitality best practices
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Knowledge of bartending or beverage service is a plus but not required
