Duties
- Plan and implement engaging bilingual lessons and activities that support language development and cultural appreciation
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to foster a respectful learning environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and active participation at all times
- Facilitate youth group activities, camp experiences, and creative arts such as theater to promote social skills and confidence
- Maintain safety protocols including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and adherence to first aid procedures in case of emergencies
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized support plans for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges
- Monitor child progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's development and well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors positively and effectively
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience implementing age-appropriate activities for young children
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire
- Experience facilitating outdoor work activities, youth group programs, or theater-based projects is a plus
- Strong team leadership abilities combined with excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
- Background in special education or Christian counseling is advantageous but not required
